I have often remarked that my life resembles the line from the Sound of Music tune - "I must have done something good." After BHS I attended the University of Vienna, Austria, and returned and completed my BA degree in Economics from SUNY-Geneseo. I pursued two masters degrees from SUNY-Albany, and Central Michigan University. The preponderance of my career was spent with the Defense Department in finance and accounting, and human resources where I received the two highest awards for civilian achievement, and a Presidential letter of appreciation. During my career I was fortunate to have travelled to nearly every major city in the US as well as internationally to Europe and the Middle East. My wife's family is from England, our son-in-law is from Donegal, Ireland and we have travelled extensively on our own throughout the US, and Europe. Now, I am in love with two other women and Patsy approves - my granddaughters. While retired, I am still active as an instructor, labor relations consultant for a Navy contractor, and a federal mediator in the Boston area.

Welcome to the 70s Club. You do not have to worry about getting old unless you learn they have discontinued your blood type.

I do not go our class website enough to catch up with your many kind comments, and I appreciate them. Yes, I have been truly blessed with a wonderful family, and three marvelous children who have grown into very positive adults. The next time I come to the Griswold Inn, I will call you and we can get together over a single malt and to toast the past, present, and hopefully the future.

Wishing you a very happy birthday, and may there be many more in your future. As we get older we recognize that getting old is a privilege everyone does not get a chance to enjoy, so do so with enthusiasm and style.

I am looking forward to the reunion to see many people who I have not seen in so many years, you included. I am astonished at the number from our class who are no longer with us, and the outpouring of affection from so many. You were always one of the spark plugs of our class, and I hope that zest for life carried over. See you in July.

I remember Mike quite well, and like Dave, I was stunned when Mr. Stamp announced that he died.  His brother Tom, who is also now deceased, was a good friend of my brother Al.  And, his sister Nancy was one of my sister's dearest friends, and she and I spoke this past Christmas.  We spoke of Mike and Tom, and there was a sadness in her voice as we talked about them.  Mike was far too young, and so full of life, when he was taken from us.  Candidly, there are far too many in our class who are no longer with us, and only illustrates how much we need to live the very best that we can because tomorrow is promised to no one.
