I remember him mostly when he was in Driver Ed. He was actually afraid to drive and scared the rest of us a few times. Mr Hanley eventually got him to drive fairly good. Other than that, we were cordial friends. Only a few years ago, reunion members found out he had been living in Rochester all the time. None of us knew where he was or how to contact him. Seems he was in law enforcement (I believe). He will be missed along with all the rest of our classmates.

I have fond memories of Jerry growing up. We used to laugh at the way our names were on the elementary school envelopes as last name was first. We said he was lucky his first name wasn’t Billy as his report card would read Hill Billy! Very fond memory from a long time ago. Hate to hear of his passing. Jerry was a great guy and will be sorely missed. RIP Jerry.

Truly sad to hear of Jerry’s passing. A short anecdote follows:

Jerome Hill & Mr. Krchniak's American History class: My first time in front of the class to present my view on the historical question regarding FDR’s presidency  ... "Does the President make the times or do the times make the President." Nervous but still confident of my forthcoming 'scholarly' presentation, taking the latter position. I look up from my notes to begin ... and what do I see ... ... Jerry Hill with his glasses on ... upside down and making an unforgetttably funny face. The dignity of this moment was gone as I dropped my notes and collapsed into an unseemly ball of laughter! MANY THANKS, JERRY!! ... ... ... ... You had to be there :-(  !!!!
