Miss Dash was an inspiration in our junior and senior English Honors class. Creative, tough but understanding and compassionate. She knew her students well. Once, I missed handing in an assignment, you know - forwarding it to the front of the room. She asked -in front of the entire class- what the problem was. I answered that I just couldn't get any inspiration on the topic at hand. She responded by telling me to try to get it in tomorrow ... an honest answer (and she knew it) followed by an amazing response. Pray to rest in peace, Miss Virginia.
