Services were Monday at St. Joseph's  Church for Mrs. Kathryn Hale Lennon, 80, formerly of 4 Roosevelt Ave., who died 11:40 pm, Friday, December 23, 1988, at the Westgate Nursing Home, Rochester, New York after a long illness.

She was born in Batavia July 29, 1908, a daughter of the late William and Maude E. Tenebrook Hale. She was a teacher at Batavia Junior/Senior High School before her retirement in 1971.

A graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoge, Mrs. Lennon was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Daughter of the American Revolution and a member of the Retired Teachers Association.

Her husband, John William Lennon, died in 1969.

She is survived by a son, J. Thom of Batavia; a daughter, Cynthia Hinchey of Stafford; and four grandchildren, Jay and Courtney Lennon, Breanne Bertrand and Caroline Hinchey.

She was the sister of the late William Hale.

Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Rochester Chapter of the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association, Inc., 46 Prince Street, Rochester, N.Y. 14600.
